New High Energy Liquid Feed For the upcoming winter season, Premier Molasses has yet again expanded its product offering at farm level with the introduction of Nutri-Thrive. Nutri-Thrive combines a high energy density with an excellent protein level to produce a valuable feed ingredient, suitable for both dairy and beef diets. Grass Tetany & Milk Fever Control Continuing with our emphasis on innovation and new product development, Premier Molasses has recently added a new liquid feed - Ultra-Mag, to our on-farm product range. Ultra-Mag is a high quality magnesium supplement targeted at supplying daily dietary requirements to aid in the prevention of both grass tetany and milk fever. Magnesium is the most important mineral to supplement in the cow’s diet. Deficiency can cause grass tetany/grass staggers – the major cause of death in cows at grass (especially spring & autumn). Magnesium supplementation has been identified as having the greatest influence on preventing milk fever. Cows should be supplemented with at least 15g to 20g of magnesium per head per day. Ultra-Mag supplies magnesium in a highly available form compared to Cal-mag supplements for as little as 13 cent/cow/day. Our other on-farm feeds include Eco-Maize, which offers a cost effective solution to meeting the protein requirements of maize silage and whole crop diets and Nutri-Mix, a unique molasses-based feed which combines high quality sugars and medium protein content, resulting in an extremely nutritious liquid feed.
